The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in the Minnesota part of the Driftless area. The course takes advantage of the elevation changes, natural twisty roads, and challenging winter conditions in the valleys flowing into the Mississippi River. The 2024 event will include two *NEW* special "skills course" regularity stages to exercise driving precision and maneuverability around cones on a closed course.

Each car must include two people: a driver and a navigator. No other passengers are allowed. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.

No special equipment is required. For the most fun, we recommend you download the Rabbit Rally 2.0 app to use our interactive digital roadbook and GPS timing. Rabbit Rally 2.0 offers an interactive digital roadbook and does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time. Time Allowances are now integrated directly into Rabbit for easier operation.

Timing is done via independent GPS boxes mounted on your windows.

It is highly recommended to use snow tires. Most all season tires are not. We suggest you also bring standard winter travel items such as a blanket, boots, warm weather gear, and ensure your car has a recovery point in case you go off the road.

Art. 2 Description

The rally follows the international regularity format. Speed shall have no impact whatsoever on the classification. Regularity Zones (RZs) shall be set up where participants have to follow the established average speed and stay close to the ideal time throughout the route. Time penalties shall be handed down as points. The winner shall be the competitor with the fewest points at the end of the rally. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card.
